"The garden view was so nice and I cannot remember the last time I felt the sky was so big and blue!

Slow life at Casa d'Oliva took our stress completely away
Slow life without TV, internet or cell phone :)
Slow life with nice food, beautiful sky,  perfect green and our family's smile :)
We enjoyed slow life at Casa d'Oliva"

"We spent many happy days by the fantastic pool and visited Gubbio, Citta di Castello, Perugia, Assisi, Cortona and Lago Trasimeno. Some of us went toVenice and Rome too! Such a central location.

"Quiet/ Remote - yet in thoroughly integrated with the mountains, villages and city-states that provide historical context, this lovely home provides a comfortable environment for a base to explore central and northern
Umbria. Tinkling bells from sheep herds, occasional truffle hunters, and the whisper (truly) of the pines are the primary sounds. Local trattorias - and restaurants - are a serious liability as are the multiple vineyards; one has dinner for lunch and then
dinner for dinner. But you can walk it off on the sinuous upland road that brings you to the Casa.

Recommend? Mercy. Without any reservations!"

"Oh, Betsy we had a fantastic time. Your house is beautiful - both in its position on the mountain
and the way in which you have made it so comfortable inside.  We were in 5 and it was perfect.
Patrick took us on a delightful wine tour and gave us some interesting history of Umbria .  We thank you again
and will be referring Casa d'Oliva to our friends."

"We've let too much time pass without writing to let you know how much we enjoyed Casa d'Oliva.
It was perfect for us. We did lots of cooking and wine drinking, appreciated your collection of cookbooks
and your other books and music, made good use of the pool, and even managed a few excursions to

neighboring towns, for which your files were invaluable!"

"Itís been pretty much one of the most wonderful holidays we had as a young family. The house and the area
exceeded all our hopes and expectations. We really needed a proper break from it all and we got just that.

We originally planned quite a few away trips but in the end decided to spend most of our time by the pool
with a cold bottle of local rosť and nibbles. We had some amazing sunsets and enjoyed the peaceful nights
in the garden.

We will certainly be back in touch soon to reserve our next trip.
Thank you for making the place truly special."

"Just to say that we had an absolutely fantastic week and don't know how you manage to stay away.
You really did pick a lovely house in a beautiful spot - just what we needed. I guess we loved all the
same things as everyone else, the wildlife, especially butterflies on the lavender, circling raptors and
a new sunset every night. We didn't go out as much as we'd planned because - well, why would you when it feels like
you are already there."

"Dear Elizabeth

Hello again...just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed the last few weeks at Casa d'Oliva. Your home in
Italy
is very comfortable and welcoming. The weather was also very good and, of course, what a wonderful location.

So what did we love....pretty much everything!

- the views, the solitude and the magnificent sunsets

- the way in which the house is laid out, the rustic yet comfortable feel, the way it's cool inside without air conditioning

- the quantity and quality of the furniture, including outside, is excellent and gave us lots of places to relax

- the beds are extremely comfortable and the mosquito nets give an exotic but practical touch

- the kitchen is very well equipped and it's really useful that remnants from earlier visitors are kept so that we
didn't have to buy everything

- your eclectic and excellent stock of books kept us all occupied once we'd read the ones we brought

- the house feels like a real home with all the pictures and trinkets

- it was good to find drawers like ours with all the useful bits and pieces that are sometimes needed

- the board games

- the folders with info on the locality and the map were great and made it much easier to work out what to do and
where to go

- outside the big garden, plant pots and pool are very well maintained

- as a poor swimmer I appreciated the large shallow end, easy step access, ledge around the deep end and non-slip bottom

- the wildlife was fascinating

- Tricia (your greeter) was very friendly and helpful .....as were the maid, pool man and gardener

"We had a great time - your house is absolutely lovely, beautifully
furnished, well equipped, and very comfortable . The grounds were super, and
the pool first  rate. All in all, it was really  great place to spend a
week, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and would certainly recommend to
others.

All in all a really great week in a  lovely villa - thank you!

With warmest best wishes

Lee and Debbie"
